Parrott Creek Child and Family Services has a mission to offer person-centered and culturally responsive programs and services to address social determinants of health in the community. A primary goal for all people to experience social, emotional, and physical wellbeing with justice and hope.
Working closely with the executive director (Simon) and developmental director (Justina) to help this non-profit bring their
core values to life in a unique way. They were eager to hear our creative insight, which allowed us to experiment and guide the way forward for the final illustrations.
Our illustration exploration phase allowed us to uncover a style that fit the client. We won't just follow our preferred style, we will combine and experiment until we find the right one for you.
From the start, we knew that capturing elements of the Pacific Northwest would help us capture the heart of this local non-profit. During the research phase, we dug deep to make connections between PNW flora and fauna and Parrot Creek's five core values. Even collaborating with their team's Cultural Ecologist to ensure the concepts aligned with symbolism within local indigenous cultures.
Adding layers of texture and unexpected color tie us back to their mission and the people they work with. Keeping colors throughout very bold and bright to add life to the website and offices.
Showcasing custom, on-brand illustrations adds life and warmth to this non-profit's website and office spaces. They put a lot of love and care into the people they work with and serve—these illustrations represent that.
"The response we are getting to the work you did for us is amazing. Everyone loves the illustration, the design, the content and the thought that went in to it. You really translated our values into beautiful images."
